Featuring conversations, readings, performances, and improvisations on the evening’s theme because that is what civilized people do when they gather. These gatherings will follow Horace's definition of the aims of poetry, “either to please or to educate” (“aut delectare aut prodesse est”).”

FEBRUARY 12
On the theme of “SPECIAL CASES OF LOVE”

When it comes to love, you may think you’ve heard it all, but those who attend “SPECIAL CASES OF LOVE” are guaranteed to hear a few things they haven’t heard before from our FEATURED GUESTS:

STEFANIE IRIS WEISS, author of Eco-Sex: Go Green Between the Sheets and Make Your Love Life Sustainable, will reflect on 21st century aspects of love.

CLAY MCLEOD CHAPMAN, creator of storytelling session THE PUMPKIN PIE SHOW and author of “rest area” and “miss corpus” will share a tale of dark love.

French songstress FLOANNE will share a love song or two.

Poet KATY BOHINC will expound on the rotten love thing.

And Host HUGO PEREZ will explain why the skeletons of hydrocephalic children are emblematic of romantic love for him.

A few more special guests will be announced shortly.

The evening’s signature drink will be the “LOST LOVE”

TORN PAGE is a performance space and classroom on West 22nd Street in Manhattan dedicated to furthering the legacy of Geraldine Page by creating a vibrant environment for emerging and established writers, directors and actors in the performing arts.
