1/10: Sky Pony @ Prototype Fest
As part of the second annual Prototype Festival, Sky-Pony will present four themed nights of performance inspired by the FOUR HUMORS of the Classical World. Friday Jan 10 @ 11pm Melancholic! Special guest Hanna Cheek performing a piece by Clay McLeod Chapman From the Greeks up through the Elizabethans, western culture believed different bodily fluids were linked to fundamental personality types. There was the Melancholic (heartbroken and yearning: Jan 10), the Sanguine (pleasure-seeking and joyous: Jan 11), the Phlegmatic (thoughtful and reflective: Jan 12), and the Choleric (hot-tempered and vengeful: Jan 13). We’ll serve up four unique sets on four consecutive nights, each inspired by one of these humors. Yeah, it’s kind of a weird idea. But isn’t that what you’ve come to expect from Sky-Pony?
