A theater festival to benefit the Nuyorican Poets Cafe's education programs
The Nuyorican Poets Cafe presents Nine Signs of the Times, a festival of new short plays and monologues by celebrated dramatists. The festival features nine compelling new works about life transitions and the pivotal moments that shape our identities. Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Cafe's literacy and afterschool programs, which serve thousands of students from disadvantaged communities.
Playwrights include: John Guare, Laura Shaine, Daniel F. Levin, Neil LaBute, Clay McLeod Chapman, Halley Feiffer, Quincy Long, Caridad Svich and Daniel Gallant.
